In Keeping with her relentless love and compassion for others - transplant advocate and hero continues to give in death

Donate Life California

“Donate Life California is saddened to hear the news of Ana Stenzel’s passing over the weekend. Ana and her sister Isa’s fight with Cystic Fibrosis proved to others who battle the horrible disease that illness should not stop one from living. In Ana’s words “cherish your life and health, live, breathe deeply!” Ana will live on through her legacy of raising awareness for CF and organ, eye and tissue donation. She was an inspiration in life and continues to be an inspiration, as well as a hero, in death.” â€" Donate Life California

From Ana’s Facebook page posted on Sunday, September 22, 2013:
“With profound sadness as well as tremendous gratitude for her two organ donors and donor families, the love of so many family, friends and fans, and the brightness she brought to all of our lives, we regret to share that Ana Stenzel passed away this morning, following a hard fought battle with intestinal cancer. With her transplanted lungs, she was breathing easy until the end. We are so pleased that Ana's legacy will live on in "The Power Of Two" and in all of our hearts.” Andrew Byrnes, Ana’s brother-in-law, Isa Stenzel’s husband.

Posted on CTDN’s Facebook page on Monday, September 23, 2013:
We just received a call from California Transplant Donor Network. In keeping with her relentless love and compassion for others, according to her wishes to donate any organs and tissues that could be used, Ana Stenzel's corneas will be made available for transplantation and may enable two people without sight to see. Another powerful legacy for an amazing woman. â€" Andrew Byrnes, Ana’s brother-in-law, Isa Stenzel’s husband.
