Emerson Curran's family urges other families to discuss importance of organ donation

Fourteen days have passed since the Curran family descended into shock, pain, and despair.
The news of Emerson's injury that later led to his death has left a trail of heavy hearts, particularly for father Michael, mother Catrina, brothers Graeme and Liam, and sister Lauren. The story has drawn considerable media attention locally and even nationally.

It is a sad story of a young man taken far too early from a life filled with promise and love.

Due to the nature of Emerson's death there has been a lot of speculation as publications have drawn on apparent witnesses and secondary sources of information. The truth of the matter is, we will likely never know the entire truth of the what happened. It is a story that will continue for weeks, months, and even years. So then, what next? What sense can be extracted from this senseless event?
