Donate Life - Transplant Choir with special guest Aled Jones and the award winning Wessex Male Choir.

The Donate Life Concert is a national celebration of the benefits of organ donation for National Transplant week and is organised by Transplant Sport.

In the year that TS are bringing the Transplant Games to Sheffield, they are also bringing music .

We are delighted to announce that Aled Jones will be our special guest at the concert which will bring together all of the charities and organisations involved in life saving transplantation in this music event. The concert will include the Transplant Choir made up of adults and children who are waiting for transplants, have had transplants or are from donor families. There will be other choirs and acts from the transplant community and the award winning Wessex Male Choir.

This is the first concert of its kind and hopes to boost the health and well being of all involved as well as increasing the numbers on the donor register.

Over the last year, Jennifer Carrino had come back from the brink of death, survived internal bleeding and spent weeks in intensive care. Then came the hard part: asking her cousin for a part of her liver. In April, doctors told Jennifer that without a transplant she probably had a year to live. Jennifer, 37, was already on transplant waiting lists in two states, but it was going to take too long, they said. She needed to think about a living donor.
