9:30am 5K Run 
9:35am 3K Fun Walk

Pre-registration pick-up is Friday, April 19, 2013
11am - 1pm & 4pm - 7pm at

Fleet Feet, 50 Miller Street
Winston-Salem, NC 27104.

Parking:
Participants will park at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in the Eden Terrace Parking Deck off of Hawthorne Road and be shuttled to Forsyth Medical Center to begin the walk.

The shuttle will begin at 8:15am.

Where:
The walk begins at Forsyth Regional Cancer Center and ends at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Babcock Auditorium.

Entry Fees:
The entry fee includes pre and post event refreshments, race awards, door prizes and event t-shirt.

**T-shirts are guaranteed for pre-registered participants and available on a first come first serve basis after that. You must attend the event to receive a t-shirt**

3K Fun Walk - $20
5K Run - $25

3K Fun Walk:
The walk is not a competition, but promises to be great fun. Bring your friends and family to help raise awareness about the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation.

5K Run:
The run will be timed and results will be posted www.twincitytc.org
This is not a certified course.

Awards:
Top three male and three female finishers overall and in the following age groups:
19 and under, 20 - 24, 25 - 29, 30 - 34, 35 - 39, 40 - 44, 45 - 49, 50 - 54, 55 - 59, 60 and over.
Awards will be given immediately following the event.

Remember and Rejoice Wall:
Donor families and recipients can bring pictures and stories about their loved one to post on the wall for all to read.

Pets: (Pet registration of $2.00 required at day of event)
Dogs must have current rabies tags and be leashed at all times. Donate Life dog bandanas is included in registration fee for your pet.

Come and walk or run for a great cause! There will be music, activities, door prizes and refreshments for participants. Participants will also have the opportunity to fill out a Living Will.

Over the last year, Jennifer Carrino had come back from the brink of death, survived internal bleeding and spent weeks in intensive care. Then came the hard part: asking her cousin for a part of her liver. In April, doctors told Jennifer that without a transplant she probably had a year to live. Jennifer, 37, was already on transplant waiting lists in two states, but it was going to take too long, they said. She needed to think about a living donor. News 7 Melbourne | Karen O'Sullivan FIRST ON 7: Surgeons who pioneered liver transplants 25 years ago are now setting their sights on performing Australia's first stomach transplant. Professor Bob Jones, who has performed hundreds of operations, says he still believes they are a miracle. Renee Cowton was a scared ten-year-old when she became the first child liver transplant recipient in Australia. "I knew it was huge and I knew that death could happen if it didn't work," she said. Surgeon, Professor Jones from the Austin Hospital admits 25 years ago the risks were high. "We sought of thought we knew what we were doing, and we were very lucky we got away with it," Jones said.
